Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our Market Access team as a Senior Consultant. This strategic role is responsible for shaping and executing market access strategies for biosimilars, branded specialty pharmaceuticals, and generics in the US region. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in government pricing, product launches, and navigating the complex regulatory and reimbursement landscape to ensure successful market entry and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Market Access: Develop and implement tailored strategies for biosimilars, branded specialty pharmaceuticals, and generics in the US.
- Product Launch Leadership: Drive launch planning and execution, aligning pricing, reimbursement, and distribution strategies.
- Government Pricing Expertise: Provide authoritative guidance on:
- Gross-to-net modeling to forecast revenue impact and optimize pricing strategies.
- 340B program implications and compliance requirements.
- Rebate strategy development to balance payer demands with profitability.
- Channel economics to evaluate distribution pathways and contracting models.
- Medicaid, Medicare, VA/DoD, and other government pricing programs, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Competitive Intelligence: Conduct landscape assessments to identify opportunities and threats, optimizing market penetration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Regulatory, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Finance teams to ensure integrated launch readiness.
- Policy & Payer Advisory: Advise clients on evolving healthcare policies, pricing trends, and payer dynamics impacting specialty pharmaceuticals, biosimilars, and generics.
- Executive Insights: Deliver strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, influencing high-level decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 6–8+ years of experience in Market Access, Pricing, or related functions within the US specialty pharmaceutical, biosimilar, or generic industry.
- Proven track record of successful product launches in the US market.
- Mandatory expertise in government pricing programs and compliance, including gross-to-net modeling, 340B, rebate strategies, and channel economics.
- Strong understanding of payer systems, reimbursement pathways, and healthcare policy in the US.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a strategic advisory capacity, influencing senior leadership and external clients.
