Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality & Governance Engineer to design, implement, and manage data quality frameworks and governance practices across different clients and customers. The candidate should also have strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), along with a deep understanding of data management principles, data governance, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Data Quality Management and governance
- Define, implement, and monitor data quality frameworks, rules, and standards across enterprise data assets
- Develop and maintain data quality metrics, scorecards, and dashboards
- Perform root cause analysis on data quality issues and drive remediation strategies
- Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to ensure high data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Implement data quality across cloud platforms using the corresponding services
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices
- Define and manage data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal data governance requirements
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to define data requirements
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams for data quality and governance initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
- 3-8 years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data management roles
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure platforms
- Experience with at least one Data Quality and Governance tool mandatory (like Informatica DQ, Atacama etc.)
- Strong understanding of:
- Data governance frameworks
- Data quality fundamentals and dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness)
- Metadata management and data lineage
Technical Skills
- Cloud Platforms: AWS and/or Azure (mandatory)
- Data Tools: SQL, Python, Spark
- Data Quality Tools: Atacama, Informatica DQ, or equivalent
- Familiarity with data warehousing and data lake architecture
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of pharma commercial datasets for US
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Attention to detail and data-driven mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
