Key Responsibilities
- Design and build highly interactive, scalable GenAI and conversational applications using React and TypeScript.
- Develop AI-native user experiences, including conversational interfaces, generative UI, agent workflows, streaming responses, dynamic tool interactions and human-in-the-loop experiences.
- Build real-time experiences using WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE), streaming APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Integrate and orchestrate LLM capabilities including agents, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, RAG and structured outputs.
- Work with agentic frameworks and protocols such as LangChain, LangGraph, AWS AgentCore, MCP and A2A.
- Build integrations with backend services and AI platforms through REST APIs and modern service interfaces.
- Contribute to multimodal and voice-enabled experiences, including conversational audio and other emerging interaction patterns.
- Partner closely with product, UX/design, backend, AI/ML and platform engineering teams to translate ambiguous product requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Establish frontend architecture, reusable components and design-system patterns that support rapid development of AI-powered experiences.
- Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, reliability, accessibility, security and usability.
- Diagnose and optimize production applications, including frontend performance, streaming latency, rendering efficiency and AI interaction latency.
- Contribute to engineering standards around testing, observability, CI/CD, code quality and secure development practices.
- Stay current with rapidly evolving GenAI technologies and evaluate emerging frameworks, models, protocols and interaction paradigms.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years building GenAI, conversational AI or AI-enabled products.
- Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript, with strong understanding of modern frontend architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with real-time and streaming applications, including WebSockets, SSE and incremental/streaming responses.
- Practical experience building production applications using LLMs, agents, RAG, prompting and tool/function calling.
- Experience with one or more of LangChain, LangGraph or AWS AgentCore.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, MCP and/or A2A and how AI systems interact with tools and external services.
- Experience designing conversational UI, generative UI or AI-native interaction patterns.
- Familiarity with multimodal and/or voice-based AI experiences is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, accessibility, responsive design and design systems.
- Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS, with an understanding of cloud-native architectures and services.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, version control, CI/CD and production support.
Preferred
- Experience building products in healthcare, life sciences, pharma or other regulated environments
- Familiarity with requirements around privacy, security, auditability and regulated-data handling.
- Experience working with enterprise AI platforms and integrating multiple AI/ML services.
- Experience taking GenAI products from prototype/POC to production at enterprise scale.
- Strong product sense and ability to balance user experience, technical feasibility, performance and business outcomes.
